Squash

Whether you’re a complete beginner or a squash pro, below you can find everything we offer for our squash enthusiasts and for those that want to become one:

Club Days & Times

We meet at the courts three times a week to play squash together:

  • Tuesdays: 18:00 – 23:00
  • Thursdays: 18:00 – 23:00
  • Saturdays: 12:00 – 15:00

During these times, you can drop by whenever it suits you, work on your skills, play a ladder match or just hang out with us. The atmosphere is very casual and we like to play music over the speakers and play squash games like “three quarters” or “doubles”. Afterwards you can often find us the campus bar catching up over some drinks and enjoying the rest of the evening.

Sounds like fun to you? We’re excited to see you at the courts soon!

Training

Looking to improve your straight drives, serves or boasts? We’ve got you covered!

For those looking to enhance their squash technique and skills, we provide one-on-one training sessions with some of our top players. Opportunities to sign up for a block of training sessions will arise throughout the year. Each block consists of three 45-minute sessions, each with a specific focus. Our coaches personalise the trainings by creating a plan with you that will benefit you the most. Specific details and times are announced in advance to members.

Tournaments

Internal Tournaments

Our tournament committee organises around four internal tournaments each year, all with creative themes. From Halloween dress-up matches to winning Easter eggs as points, a Nationality Tournament where we represent our countries, and a “romantic” Valentine’s Double Tournament – they’re always fun!

Besides that, the Clubladder is our internal competition and ranking system that runs all year. If you opt to join, you’ll play against other Tickers at a similar skill level. Simple rules: Win a match, move up; lose, you might move down. Whether you’re playing for fun or aiming for the top, it’s a great way to improve your game and connect with other members.

External Tournaments

Each year we are looking forward to the the Erasmus Sports Racketlon. The Racketlon is a collaborative tournament organised by the five racket sport associations Passing shots (tennis), BV Erasmus (badminton), ETTA (table tennis), EPA (padel) and of course TIDN. On this day, you’ll compete in each of the different racket sports (except padel) against players from the other associations. A fun event to show off your racket skills and bond with fellow players!

We also always participate in the annual Battle of the Cities squash tournament, where student squash associations from all across the Netherlands compete for the trophy. The winning association hosts the tournament the year after. It’s open to all skill levels and offers a chance to connect with players from other clubs while exploring new cities. Oh, and we are four time champions. 😉
